Loose after the reform and opening up, along with the household registrationsystem, farmers started to work in the city, and gradually formed a large group ofmigrant workers. Among the migrant workers, the proportion of new generation ofmigrant workers is becoming more and more high, which is gradually become the mainbody of the migrant workers. Compared with the first generation of migrant workers,new generation of migrant workers present some special characteristics: such as theyaspire to urban cities, feelings towards rural is weakening and want to settle in cities,etc.Our country is to speed up the process of urbanization. One of the important signsof urbanization is the increase of urban population size. New generation of migrantworkers work, live in cities, their also hope that can from the rural population into urbanpopulation. Due to these reasons, the new generation of migrant workers has graduallybecome a potential group who is an important part of urbanization in our country, at thesam e time， the new generation of migrant workers transform urban residents is alsoone of the trend of social development in our country. The new generation of migrantworkers urbanization involves many aspects, with the integration of the economic level,also have internal psychological identity. In the two aspects, the integration ofpsychological level is relatively long, but it is more fundamental, because only thepsychological level into the city, the new generation of migrant workers can really beintegrated into the urban society.Social mobility is one of important characteristic of the new generation of migrantworkers. The new generation of migrant workers social mobility, especially the statusof the upward mobility of new generation migrant workers into cities has an importantinfluence on their urbanization. Thus, the relationship research between social mobilityof new generation migrant workers and urban into city has great significance.This article applies the method of questionnaire and case interview to Taiyuan city,on the theory of social mobility, migrant workers social mobility condition of Taiyuancity was investigated. Through empirical investigation, analyzes its characteristicsand existence dilemma in the social mobility, and then analyze how the newgeneration peasant workers’ social mobility difficulties influence their integrated intothe urban society.In the survey, found that the new generation of migrant workers in social mobility inthe following dilemma: the limitation of urban and rural dual system, social capital of asingle, high degree of homogeneity, human capital difficult to ascend. These difficultieshindered the new generation migrant workers’ integrated into the urban society, whichunfavorable to into the city.
