The Research Of Rural Left-behind Children Crime

The reform and opening up policy has been implemented for more than thirty years nowadays. The pace of industrialization and urbanization is accelerating with the development of market economy, which brings about a large number of surplus labor force especially the young adults in rural areas migrate to the large and medium-sized cities and costal regions where the economic develop fast. This migration progress of population has created the migrant worker and at the same time also produces the special group of rural left-behind children. Social problems, especially criminal issues, caused by the rural left-behind children have become increasingly prominent in recent years. Therefore, how to reduce and prevent the delinquency of rural left-behind children is an important research project for our society.In this paper, a lot of data is drawn through questionnaires and other methods, it has found there are several reasons for this social phenomenon based on the analysis of the data. First, in family aspect, the lack of parental care, improper family education and parents’ wrong ideas have a significant impact on left-behind children’s crime; Secondly, in education aspect, weak level of education in rural areas, incorrect concept of education, and weak legal education play a vital role in that crime; Thirdly, in social aspect, the imperfect system, the unsound regulatory body, and the impact of negative social factors are important reasons; Finally, in individual aspect, the physiological and psychological factors have an effect on this phenomenon as well.This paper proposes a series of methods to prevent and reduce the crime of rural left-behind children, such as strengthening family education and legality education in school, improving legislation and system, developing rural economy. Apart from enhancing their own capacities of rural left-behind children, family, school and community should together try their best to protect them to grow up healthy and sound.
