TAFE college is the important part of vocational and training system in Australia,and famous all over the world. The key of the development of TAFE college is to train vocational and training teachers with high standard and various ways. On one hand,TAFE college trains high educated and qualified full-time teachers, on the other hand,it hires part-time teachers with specialized skill, and gives them teaching education and training. Full-time teachers and part-time teachers make up competitive dual-qualified Teacher team and devote to guarantee the vigorous development of Australian vocation education and training. The paper introduces the training history,improved methods and practical experience of dual-qualified Teacher in Australian TAFE college, expecting to give some suggestions to the construction of dual-qualified teacher team of higher technical education in China.Firstly, the paper discusses the initial stage of the training of dual-qualified teacher in Australian TAFE college from 1948 to 1972. This stage is the early exploration of TAFE college. The teacher training was immature. The training was short and simple. Then it discusses the reformation stage of the training of dual-qualified teacher in Australian TAFE college from 1972 to 1993. In this stage,the training of teachers in TAFE college got more attention from government and scholars. They published some policy and reports to reform teacher training. The government increased training funds, informed training courses and issued training certification. Besides, it discusses the improved stage of the training of dual-qualified teacher in Australian TAFE college from 1994 to present. TAFE college possessed teacher qualification certification system and clear teacher professional standard. It resorted to improve teacher training system, which included induction training, on-job training and industrial training. The flexible training model and full career covered training program pushed forward the teachers’ professional development. Finally, it concludes some suggestion to the construction of dual-qualified teacher team of higher technical education in China.
