Higher Vocational Education is widely considered one of the forms of educationwhich has significant impact on the entire national economy. With powerful strength,entire system, distinctive features, the Technique And Further Education(TAFE)institute running mode of Australia has become the typical example forlearned-scholars all over the world doing research on vocational education. From fiveaspects: the goal of running institute, teachers, major development and setting,curriculum development and setting, institute management, this thesis is aimed tofurther strengthen the understanding of TAFE institute running mode, so as to providea reference for the development of higher vocational education.The thesis consists of five parts:The first part mainly describes the reason for choosing this topic and defines therelevant concept of this research, meanwhile it reviews the current relevant researchachievements of TAFE institute running mode, and finally illustrates the methodsused in this thesis.The second part mainly analyzes the reasons for the flourished development ofTAFE institute, and illustrates the position and influence TAFE institute on theAustralian vocational education and training system.The third part, as the major point of this study, it systematically illustrates therunning mode of TAFE institute from several aspects, including the goal of runninginstitute, major development and setting, curriculum development and setting,institute management, teachers.Summarizing the features of these aspects for theTAFE institute running mode research.The fourth part, summarizes the advantages and existing problems of TAFEinstitute running mode based on the features of the running mode,and from thepositive and negative perspectives, so as to pave the way for the following part.The fifth part, provides a series of suggestions for our country’s highervocational education development and reform,based on the analysis and discussion offour previous parts of TAFE institute running mode, and according to our country’s higher education current real situation.
