China Mathematical Olympiad in mathematics a new dimension hasbeen quite a success. Olympiad is actually a way of thinking competitions,Mathematical Olympiad is a mathematical thinking, problem-solvingactivities. Olympic mathematical problem solving is characterized by a largeextent with the students’ thinking. The general object of the Olympicmathematics education of students with mathematical talent, the quickthinking of these students, there is a strong motivation to learn, they tend toadvance and read books and articles on mathematics textbook knowledge.Mathematical Olympiad mathematical thinking teaching and researchresults from the following aspects. First, several major mathematical problemsolving theory, were compared with their problem-solving ideas.Problem-solving thinking characteristics of students with mathematical talenton the basis of the existing problem-solving theory, put forward a moresystematic Olympic mathematical problem solving thought process, combinedwith some specific cases for practice and summary. Secondly, in order tobetter enhance students’ ability to solve the Olympic math problems,according to my research on the Olympic mathematical problem solvingthought process combined with my experience and practice, some of the waysto improve problem-solving ability. Finally, the paper also briefly discussesthe application of computers in solving problems.Olympic mathematical thinking training on mental training have animportant role.
