| Primary students’ English homework plays a significant role infundamental English education, because it can improve the conversionfrom the acquiring knowledge to holding and appliance, so as to provideprimary students with the opportunities of practicing and utilizing English.Nowadays, the society pays more focus on the English homework.However, there is shortage of researches on primary English homework.During the course of educational practice, primary teachers make moreefforts to class teaching than the effective continuity of class teachingwhich refers to the assignment and marking. Therefore, the research ishelpful to rediscover and identify the existent problems in the currentprimary students’ English homework to promote the English teachinglevel and efifciency, and assign the English homework appropriately. Atthis point, researches and investigations about English homework arecarried out in Tai,an, Shandong province, China.This article mainly adopts documentary method, questionnairesurvey and interview. Selecting three primary schools at different levelsas research objects, this article descirbes the status quo of the Englishhomework in Tai’an and analysis the cause of the existing problems. Inresponse to these questions and in order to the sound development ofEnglish education in Tai’an, this article propose some advices andsolutions for schools, teachers, students and presents.There are six parts of this article: part I is the introduction whichintroduces the background and significance of the research; Part II refersto literature review, which displays researches on the primary homeworkof expetrs from home and abroad. Part [II is the basic theory of thisarticle. Part IV refers to the design of the research, which includes the methods, trains of thoughts, the objects of study and the plan, etc..Part V is the analysis of all investigations. Part VI refers to the solution inresponse to the results of investigations. The last is the summery,references, questionnaire and appendix.This article aims at ch’anging the students passive predicament andunearthing the improper situation of English homework to improve theform, quantities of homework, and the efficiency of study, and reduce theburden of students. At the same, we can train the ability of learningEnglish in primary stage, cultivate the interests and confidence in English,and make them master the studying methods to improve the faculty ofutilizing English and develop the research, corporation and innovation. |
