This thesis is a synthesis of the successful experience and methods of training excellent engineers in developed countries, and a synthesis of the successful experience and methods of physics experiment teaching. It’s also a synthesis of the current situation and reform of domestic physics experiment teaching.It explores the status and role of physics experiment teaching in excellent engineers training process, and points out that the physics experiment teaching is an important part of the excellent engineers training process.A questionnaire survey of solving the problems of the cultivation of excellent engineers, the current situation of physics experiment teaching, the relationship between physics experiment teaching and the cultivation of excellent engineers, the reform of physics experiment teaching which is guided by excellent engineers’ training, etc, is conducted. First we find out some existing problems through the survey. Compared with the need for education and training of excellent engineers, the professional structure of physics experiment teaching staff is single, lack of engineering knowledge and experience, research and innovative capacity is needed to be further improved. Teachers and students are lack of awareness of importance of education and training of excellent engineers, they have known the importance of the various students’ extracurricular technology innovation practice which is under the representative of "challenge cup" contest, but their enthusiasm and initiative of participation needs to be improved. Second, we get some views of teachers and students that are valuable to teaching reform. Combining physics experiment teaching with students’extracurricular science and technology innovation practice, it is actively meaningful for education and training of excellent engineers to make physics lab as extracurricular science and technology innovation practice base for students. It is welcome by teachers and students, and it is helpful for education and training of excellent engineers to carry out physics experiment bilingual teaching, and to introduce the knowledge of physics theory in application in engineering technology in teaching, etc.The feasibility and positive significance of combining physics experiment teaching and students’ extracurricular science and technology innovation practice is illustrated from the experience and practice in developed countries, the theory of education and psychology as well as school policies and measures. And five practical methods are proposed.(1) Setting up the development of the experimental apparatus and improvement projects combined with physics experiment teaching content;(2) Organically combining the practice of integrated design experiments and extracurricular science and technology innovation project;(3) University physics laboratory being built into the students’extracurricular science and technology innovation practice base.(4) Using physics laboratory equipment to organize students to carry out producing-learning-research activities;(5) Using physics laboratory to develop students’science and technology contest.This thesis also puts forward practical solutions for construction of physics experiment teacher staff, it is to establish a long-term and relatively stable and supernumerary physics experiment teacher staff which consists of young Drs to meet the needs of education and training of excellent engineers.Deep study on the bilingual teaching of physics experiment is conducted. The ongoing problems faced by university physics experiment in bilingual teaching and feasible measures to solve the problem are pointed out. We should organize the translation production of computer multimedia and bilingual materials, build up bilingual teaching network platform of college physics experiment, use supernumerary teacher with a doctorate to attempt bilingual teaching in excellent classes, etc. The research provides a valuable reference for the reform of physics experiment teaching.
