With the ever-changing science and technology in today’s society, professional educationshould also keep pace with The Times. Modern vocational education requires the secondaryvocational school students not only to master certain skills, but also to have a certain culturalaccomplishment, which puts forward a higher request for the Chinese teaching in secondaryvocational school.Through a survey of the teaching of secondary vocational school teachers and the recentinvestigation of students’ humanities accomplishment, the reality is not optimistic. Thesecondary vocational school teachers have done some work, while had little effect. In theteaching, some teachers emphasis on the language as instrument too much, while ignoring thehumanity in it. The study demonstrate that Chinese teaching is the most important way andmeans to cultivate students’ humanities accomplishment in vocational schools, therefore, weshould make full use of the stage, mining the classic literature character in language teachingmaterial, fully releasing the students’ creative spirit and the potentia, involving their ideals andbeliefs with them, laying a good foundation for the society in the future for them. Based onthe investigation method, comparison method, and case study method, we see the secondaryvocational school students have some status of lacking of humanities, as low level of culturalknowledge, less heavy inferiority mentality, weak ability to resist down, lack of ideal and faith,etc. And the emergence of these problems are influenced by the family education, schooleducation and social environment. As secondary vocational school language teachers, weshould conbine the characters of secondary Chinese textbook teaching and the cultivating ofthe humanities together, instruct the students’ cultural knowledge and give them the care andnourishment on humanities as well. Improve secondary vocational students’ teamconsciousness and cooperation ability by studing the character, enrich emotional world ofstudents by better understanding of the typical character image, improve the students’cognitive level and aesthetic ability by engaging the mental quality of typical character image.Finally we put forward the teaching management that by appreciation, we could express thelanguage, analyze the spiritual connotation, the characters’ image could be, test the learningeffection, play the positive affects of the characters, and improve the students’ humanities accomplishment by make better use of the character’ image in secondary vocational Chineseliterature. This is the main body of the paper.I believe that through the carefully guiding of the teachers and duly reforming in Chineseteaching meterials, combining the science and the humanities accomplishmentcomprehensively, this will be a positive and far-reaching influence for our secondaryvocational school students.
