Leadership Education In High School Students

Leaders and leadership have long been a substantial phenomenon that bringshuge impact to social development and human history, and the idealistic view ofhistory even sees history as the history of elites and leaders. That’s why leading andleadership deserves attention from the academic community. The author has beenfascinated by this phenomenon for a long time, wondering what the essence ofleadership is, how it comes and develops, how people should refresh theirunderstanding of leadership in the modern society, and how it can inspire oureducation practices.As our society develops and our people’s demand for culture and knowledgegrows, the society asks for more talents, and more satisfaction from education andits content. With this background, more and more educators pay their attention toleadership education. This paper firstly tries to clarify the essence of leadershipeducation. It uses leadership education in middle school as a breakthrough and treatsleadership ability as a must-have for modern middle school students and socialtalents, so as to alter the traditional idea about leadership education which is thatleadership belongs to those elites. Secondly, this paper analyzes the key factors thatcontribute to the development of leadership ability, so as to provide clues forpracticing leadership education. Thirdly, the paper gives some practical examples ofleadership education in middle schools and tries to clarify their practices. And lastly,this paper tries to summarize some universal experiences and suggestions onleadership education in middle schools based on practical examples, in the hope ofhelping more and more schools adopt leadership education and boosting theleadership education in our country.
