Under the background of New Curriculum Standard, there are several problems exist in the narrative text teaching in high school’s Chinese teaching, for example the teaching contents’ being too old, not attaching importance to the guidance of how to read, and the shallow understanding of the article. Aiming at solving these problems, this essay put forwards that the theory of Classical Narratology should be introduced into the narrative text teaching. And it should be used to improve the students’ ability of understanding the narrative text.The main classical theory of Narratology has great value for reference on narrative text teaching, and it also can be used to support the teaching of narrative text. In the theory of Narratology, the theory of narrative perspective is more practicable to the classification teaching of the narrative text teaching. It can enable the knowledge of narratology to be applied to the day-to-day teaching properly.Combined with the theory of Classical Narratology and through the research on the current situation of narrative text teaching, we can figure out the principle, methods and strategies of narrative text teaching reform, and make it work during the daily teaching. And make it play a positive role in the narrative text teaching in high school’s Chinese teaching.
