The blind dumb students are part of the youth of our country, we can improve the blind dumb students’physical and mental qualities through sp ort education to help them build the self-reliance and the self-improveme nt, take part in the social life equally, play their own values and mix t hem in the social harmony. Research on the influence of the sports to the health of blind dumb students of special schools has.a stronger sense of reality and practical value.By using the methods of documentation, questionnaire survey, expert interviews, mathematical statistics, the scale measurements, experimental research method, the paper make a survey and analysis of seven special e ducation schools in Jingzhou City, and do a20-week intervention experime nt.From the investigation and sports experiment,we can know that:(1) Sc hool teachers in these special educational schools aren’t enough.(2) Stat us of Physical Education in Special Education Schools is unsatisfactory, the investment in sports funding investment, sports venues and the equipm ent is inadequate;(3)All the special education schools in Jingzhou City carry out "The two Gymnastics " better, but most schools lack of the scho ol dance team and competitions in the extracurricular activities;(4) mo st of the leaders, teachers, students of the special education schools i n Jingzhou City have a better awareness of the sports to the students in the physical and mental health;(5) There is a big difference between the physical quality of the students in special education school in Jingzhou City and the third national physical fitness monitoring data;(6)The men tal health of the blind-dumb boys and girls of the special education scho ols in Jingzhou is not optimistic.(7) After a20-week sports interventi on, there is a large difference between the experimental class and the co mparing class, and the experimental classes are better than the comparing classes;(8) After a20-week sports intervention, compared with the comp aring class, the blind-dumb students’mental health in the experimental c lass has a sharp improvement, which is striking.(9) Aim at physical and psychological characteristics of the blind-dumb students and design sport interventions to fit their own characteristics, which can promote physic al and mental health of the blind-dumb students.(2) According to the survey and the results of the sport investigation, I make the following recommendations:(1)The relevant departments of Jingz hou City should increase its investment on space, equipment and school te achers in special educational schools.(2)Actively develop and explore the sports items and forms which suit these blind-dumb students, and ensure "The two Gymnastics " and the extra-curricular activities can carry out;(3) Increase the development and construction of the sport textbook syste m to suit the blind-dumb students, and improve the teaching materials and teaching aids;(4) special schools should develop extensive variety of s ports, and invite parents to participate in sports activities by using of games and Campus Arts Festival, to promote the formation of the good atm osphere of the family and school sports.
