Recently years, the "Graduate entrance exam craze" is hotter and hotter along with the continuous enrollment expansion of postgraduates. And because China is still in the primary stage of market economy, market plays a weak regulating role in resource allocation. But the output of higher education has exceeded substantially than the amounts which can be adopted by the job market under the market economy. This will result in the employment problem of postgraduates more and more obvious. The employment problem of female postgraduates is more highlighted and urgent because of social reason and physiology reason. The female postgraduates undertake the social responsibility of childbearing and child education, so their employment problem is not only the problem of personal or school but also a big problem which can affect the social harmony. So this text takes the employment problem of female postgraduates as entry point to carry on research.Through questionnaire survey, individual interview and narrative research, this text has made a comprehensive investigation of employment status of non-Shanghai female postgraduates. Through analysis, it is found that the reason for hard to find a job of non-Shanghai female postgraduates includes gender, school, major, region and age besides personal factors.In order to ensure the legitimate right of female postgraduates in job hunting and prevent all kinds of dominant and recessive discrimination, this text suggest that related departments of the government should improve the social security system of female employment including the childbirth insurance system and anti-employment discrimination litigation system; improve the legal system of employment discrimination which makes the female postgraduates have rules to follow; strengthen macro-control to change economic structure, decrease regional disparity, improve preferential policy of employment and decrease registered permanent residence restriction. Colleges and universities should strengthen the careers guidance of female postgraduates in order to help the female postgraduates to establish a correct principle of job hunting. The female postgraduates should change their mind and recognize the situation, adjust their employment expectation and planning their career reasonable.
