The purpose of present research is the modification of the scale about the perfectionism in choosing an occupation, and the exploration of its influence factors. The research contains two parts. First of all, we modified the present scale about the perfectionism in choosing an occupation by adding the dimensionality about "excessive demand", by adopting exploratory influence analysis method and confirmatory analysis method. Then, we explored the influence factors about the perfectionism in choosing an occupation among graduated students, including quantize questionnaire and qualitative interview research. We analyses the relationship between the perfectionism in choosing an occupation and parental style through the quantize questionnaire. In qualitative interview research we explored the influence factor through semi-structured interviews and then explored the variation situation about the perfectionism in choosing an occupation, career-choosing efficiency feeling and anxiety in career-choosing period through tracking interviews. The conclusions of the present research are:1. The modified scale includes four dimensions:1,self-realization,2,ideal job,3,care about frustration,4,excessive demand. Among these dimensions, self-realization and ideal job belong to positive dimensions, care about frustration, and excessive demand belong to negative dimensions. The reliability of the scale satisfies the measurement requirement.2. The quantized research reveals that the early stage parental style can predict the perfectionism in choosing an occupation in different dimension.3. The qualitative research reveals that the perfectionism in choosing an occupation among the graduate student can be affected by parental style, teachers, companion, important others and achievement-intensity.4. The perfectionism in choosing an occupation stays steadily during the occupation-choosing period.
