Special-post teachers have made great contributions to promote the educational fairness and the rural basic education,however,constructing a steady and high-quality teacher team is the foundation of the development of rural education.The Special-post teachers can independently chose their second occupations after the three years,so what will they do?How can the rural schools make the Special-post teachers keep teaching in these schools?In this study,the researcher take Qianjin town,Guojiahe town and Shashi town of Xinxian county of Henan province for example,and mainly use the questionnaires and aside by open interviews to systematically research status quo of the second choice of occupational intention of the Special-post teachers and to comprehensively analyze the influential factors.Based on these,the researcher put forward some relevant and pertinent suggestions to improve the leaving rate of Special-post teachers.There are some main conclusions of the study above:1.Generally,all Special-post teachers basically think about the question of second choice occupation,but the frequency is not high.2.Most Special-post teachers will continue to choosing as teachers,but they strongly do not want to keep teaching in the current schools.Meanwhile,some teachers will turn over.Most importantly,the pursuit of personal career development and low payment are the crucial and key factors to lead to a Special-post teacher leaving current school for other schools and teaching.3.The sample teachers have significant differences in their demographic variables such as gender,educational history,education type,graduation university level,teaching time,teaching school location,nature of school,grade to teach and there is no differences in marriage status,age,school size,teaching subjects and position.4.In this study,occupation identity,life adaptability,job adaptability,wages,work efficiency,life satisfaction,interpersonal relationship,organizational care,marriage,family and external employment opportunities have important influence on teachers choosing second occupational intention.
