Status Of Minority Social Integration Of Migrants

Floating population’s social integration is refers to the implementation of the floating population from outsiders to the overall transformation of local citizens and the realization of identity, eventually into the local society. At the present stage, the number of floating population is increasing rapidly in our country. The data of sixth census shows that China’s total population of separation population has reached261.39million. This data increased by81.1%compared with the fifth population census. At the same time, the flow time of floating population becomes increasingly longer and more and more floating population move with the family. Therefore, promoting the floating population’s social integration has become the most important target of the management of the floating population in our country, and it’s also a focus of the studied interest.Along with this development trend, the scale of the minority floating population is also expanding continuously. But as the differences such as national culture, the minority floating population in the process of social integration encountered more obstacles and exclusion. Although social integration must exist gradually running-in process, but their social integration is not only related to the development of the individual, but also affects the cooperation and communication of all ethnic groups, and society’s harmonious development. Therefore, we must understand the causes of problems, and find ways to accelerate the social integration of the minority floating population.Based on this, this study is based on data of dynamic monitoring of floating population survey in2011, combined with the material of in-depth interviews, and selects economic integration, behavior adaptation, and psychological identity as the measurement indicators to measure the degree of social integration. This study uses three statistical methods to analyze the status of the minority floating population’s social integration and its influence factors. The three statistical methods are descriptive analysis, factor analysis and multiple linear regression analysis.The full text is divided into six parts. The first chapter as the introduction outlines the research background and the review of related research. The second chapter introduces the research design, survey method, and statistical analysis method. The third chapter describes the characteristics of the minority floating population. The forth chapter is a descriptive analysis of the status of the minority floating population social integration. The fifth chapter uses the method of factor analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the influence factors of social integration. The sixth chapter is the conclusion of this article.This study draws the following three conclusions:Firstly, the degree of the minority floating population’s social integration is generally low, especially in the area of economic integration and behavior adaptation. And the degree of the minority floating population’s social integration is lower than the Han nationality in each dimension. But there is a large difference in the extent of social integration between different groups of the minority floating population, and the degree of social integration of some minority floating population groups is higher than the Han nationality. For example, the degree of social integration of Korean and Mongolian are higher than the Han nationality in three dimensions of the integration.Secondly, the national property is not the reason of the low level of social integration. The major disadvantage of the minority floating population is the weaknesses of population quality. The unbalanced development between urban and rural is the macro reason of the low level of social integration. The personal qualities and flow characteristics are the micro reasons of the low level of social integration, especially the level of education and professional classes.Third, the segmentation of the status social integration between different groups of minority floating population will be a trend. As the development of the society, segments will be deeper and more stable. As the segmentation fusion theory expounded, a part of minority floating population in the process of social integration will encounter more obstacles and exclusion, and they will be into the urban poverty culture gradually.Therefore, from now on, city management policy should be adjusted accordingly, and do a good job of minority floating population management and service work. The relevant departments should provide some necessary training and working opportunities to the minority floating population, and promote their integration into the local mainstream society, thereby preventing them from integrating into the urban poverty culture.
