Hundred years’ policy is based on education; while the education policy is based on teachers. Our country possesses numerous teachers. Whether teachers can really promote the development of the whole education lies in the construction of teacher’s ethics. As a place of fostering future talents, primary schools are important foundation part of the education system in our country. Elementary school teacher’s ethics construction not only concerns the success or failure of education, but also deeply affects the development of a new generation, thus influences future economic and social development in the motherland.China has always attached great importance to the elementary school teacher’s ethics construction, and has invested a lot of energy, and obtained some achievements. In today’s society, however, with the great development of society and constant progress of economic, people’pursuit of material has witnessed a gradual warming trend. Elementary school teachers’ideology has been changed and teacher’s ethics problems have emerged continuously. In order to have a thorough understanding of the current primary school teacher teacher’s ethics present situation, to find elementary school teacher’s ethics problems, and to puts forward a strategy to improve elementary school teacher’s ethics, the author makes elementary school teacher’s ethics research the theme, and carries on a theoretical and practical exploration.Specifically speaking, this thesis mainly can be divided into the following several parts:Part one works as a ethics overview section. This part mainly discusses the meaning of ethics, which is a kind of social consciousness, survival wisdom, and also practical spirit; then analyzes the characteristics of the teacher’s ethics, namely, high standards, self-consciousness, variety, profoundness and exemplary characteristics; and explains the significance of ethics.Part two contains the current status of elementary school teacher’s ethics. This part mainly expounds the general situation of elementary school teacher’s ethics, and the author uses the way of questionnaire survey on the current elementary school teacher ethics question in Taiyuan area, carrying a empirical investigation.Part three is made up of elementary school teacher’s ethics problems and cause analysis. This part mainly analyzes the current problems of elementary school teacher’s ethics, namely,little professional identity, clear utilitarian idea, emphasizing wisdom and belittling ideology, inconsistent between moral cognition and moral behavior, corporal punishment or disguised forms of corporal punishment, lack of cooperation consciousness, insufficient creativity consciousness. Moreover, the causes are analyzed from society, schools and teachers three dimensions.The last part is the promotion strategy part of elementary school teacher’s ethics. This part mainly discusses the specific strategies of promoting elementary school teacher’s ethics, that is purifying the ethics of human environment, providing good atmosphere for the development of teacher’s ethics construction, perfecting the school system, providing institutional guarantee for the development of teacher’s ethics, constantly improve teachers’ themselves and improve their own moral standards.
