School physical education curriculum is an important part of education, which has an important role toenhance the physical fitness of students, to cultivate the spirit of patriotism, collectivism and socialistspiritual civilization, and to improve the technical level of the sport in China. The elementary schoolphysical education is the key aspects of the entire physical education stage which is also a basic link. Thenature of children, playful, curious, so the young child’s sports interests should be developed from child andform the good habit of lifelong sports, which is very important for improving the child’s physical andmental health and personality, and also plays a crucial role in improving the physical quality of the wholenation, cultivating the comprehensive development of the new generation, the relationship is particularlysignificant. Traditional physical education curriculum in our schools has been difficult to meet the needs ofthe students of the school curriculum, which requires increasingly diversified and personalized."BasicEducation Curriculum Reform (Trial)" clearly pointed out the need to change a too concentrated coursemanagement situation, the implementation of the national, local and school levels course management, andenhancing the adaptability of the curriculum of local schools and students. Based on this background, howto carry out primary sports-based curriculum has become an important research topic in the basic educationcurriculum reform. The promulgation of Physical education and health curriculum standards has providedvast space and development platform, added local curriculum and school curriculum, and broken our longnational centralist course management system; there are many aspects which are worth to trial and explore.China’s vast land parcels, how do school sports programs be carried out according to the regional culture,school characteristics and student characteristics, and by the school-based curriculum in school sports?whether school administrators, leaders and physical To fully understand the needs and characteristics of thedevelopment of students’ Sports,geographical features and combine the actual situation of school teacherconditions, site conditions, and to explore and carry out sports-based curriculum?This article takes the development and implementation of the Henan Province, Xinxiang City PrimarySchool school-based sports curriculum as the study object, and takes the Xinxiang City elementary schoolleadership, physical education teachers, class teachers, students and parents as research object,, and based on the launching of the Xinxiang City District Primary School school-based sports curriculum as caseinvestigation. Using literature, questionnaire, interview, field trips, case study method, logical analysis toresearch the development of Xinxiang City Primary school-based sports curriculum and explore theshortcomings in Xinxiang City Primary School school-based sports curriculum content to carry out:1, thephysical education teachers lack the initiative to develop awareness of the new sports-based curriculumcontent;2, Xinxiang City primary school don’t have adequate venue facilities;3,the quality is difficult to beassured of the sports-based curriculum content, relatively simple;4, the school leaders and teacher don’tpay enough attention to the school sports work.5, lack of sports-based curriculum content atmosphereenvironment that affect sports-based curriculum content. Mainly from the following aspects to improve theeffect of the school-based curriculum of elementary school physical education:1) correct analysis of theschool;2) meet the sports learning needs of students, improve students’ health; prominent features of theschool;3) Site construction equipment, to increase investment, PE Teachers’ learning theory to conductregular training;4) follow the targeted principle, the holistic principles, scientific principles, principles ofinterest, the characteristics of principles;5) strengthen the school’s external cooperation;6) establish andimprove the course evaluation system.
