The education of Republic of China has a very important impact in the history of the development of education in China, and at that time, due to the particularity and the existence of many problems, the secondary education often became the focus of reform. Especially after the implementation of class instruction, the problems of class management has become increasingly prominent, which has raised the new issues for the government and education sectors, they set their sights on the problem of how to standardize the management of the secondary classes, the classroom management system is also presented as different characteristics in the different period.This paper uses the literature analysis, historical analysis, and case analysis methods, which focus on the study of the historical changes of the class management system in the Republic of China. It summarizes the reasons and implementation from the early Republic "homeroom teacher" system to the "guidance system" after the May4th Movement, and then to the "mentor system "after the War of resistance against Japan. It also shows the main ideas of the scholars at that time, and comparative analysis the characteristics of class management system during the Republican period.The conclusions is the secondary class management system of the Republic of China is always focus on the moral education, change from the "negative discipline "of authoritarian personality to the "positive discipline" of democracy; The change of classroom management system is the result of the evolution of educational organizations and the differentiation of functions in the internal of school; The change of the class management system of the Republic also affected by the impact of political change, as well as factors such as education thoughts. Finally, I try to make some suggestions to the existing class management system from the study of historical changes in the class management system.
