Realization And Educational Function Of Volunteer Service Of Students From Medical Universities

Volunteer service is an important carrier of education in universities, and it has a unique advantage in educational function. For students of medical universities, the educational function of volunteer service is more outstanding. It is an important platform for medical students to practice. It can enhance professional ethics and professional experience of medical students, develop the comprehensive quality of medical students. At the same time it can cultivate ideological and political quality of medical students. In order to carry out volunteer service in medical universities better and to give full play to its educational function, this article starting from the connotation and characteristics of medical universities students’ volunteer service, focused on the survey on volunteer service and its actual effect of educational function in medical universities of Fujian Province. The article summarized the experience of medical universities’ volunteer service in Fujian province and confirmed the achievements. The problems existed in medical universities’ volunteer service in Fujian Province were analyzed and its causes were pointed out. Finally, the article suggested that the volunteer service in medical universities should be carried out through strengthening the consciousness of the medical universities, promoting volunteer service abilities among medical students, improving the medical volunteer incentive mechanism, and elaborating volunteer service projects, so as to improve the educational function of volunteer service in medical universities.
