Nowadays, the requirement of P.E. class is higher than before; one sport event optional course becomes a main form of P.E. class. During the optional course is opening, teachers want to adjust students’physiological, psychological and study conditional character, and also want to accomplish teaching target in the set time. In this situation, all kinds of problems came out. How to regard teaching problems, how to solve them, how to analyze and reform one sport event optional course, how to reduce unhealthy phenomenon in class, how to let students focus in class, and how to optimize one sport event optional course, all these become the important problems. This article collects data through document-data method and interviewing method, proofs the feasibility of WSR method in optimizing high school basketball course through experimental method. A new basketball class instructional design which is proved by experiment and has optimal effects is also made. The result of the study shows that, through the method of WSR, all effects of teaching impact can be regarded, the new design can promote students’ enthusiasm, can active class phenomenon, and can also boost their skill learning, has realistic optimal effects.
