Study On The Evaluation System Of College National Scholarship In China

It is a significant act for Chinese party and country to implement college national scholarship system so as to construct powerful cultural and human resources country, to make an innovative nation, to insist on giving priority to education development and to realize educational equity. However, since the implemental time of the system is short, the standard construction of evaluation system is still constantly improving and the understanding deviation of implementation is occurred in various colleges, the dispute of evaluation work in our college national scholarship become increasingly prominent. This paper attempts to start with from defining the nature of national scholarship to clarify the function and location of national scholarship and designate it as honor scholarship. It pointed out that national scholarship can inspire, guide and help students in their studies. Moreover, the paper takes surveys of colleges and universities in Fujian province as an example. Based on empirical investigation, it makes objective analysis of the current situation and analyzes problems by doing questionnaires and interviews. It should be firstly clear that basic value claim of college national scholarship’s evaluation system in our country is to reward and encourage students. Therefore, we can explore and improve our college national scholarships’evaluation mode, create a strong work atmosphere in national scholarships’evaluation and play a positive role in national scholarships evaluation system by sticking to evaluation principle, refining evaluation indicators, standardizing evaluation process and consolidating evaluation effect and so on.
