Informal groups of students correspond to formal groups of students, the latter is more similar to the form such as class, the young pioneers, and they are often the objects which school concerns. In contrast, the informal group is nebbish; there is little study about it. But the informal groups affects the formation of personality and values in the process of students’ growing up, as it is in the school education environment, and it is the interaction approach which formats in students groups, such contact’s premise is the satisfaction to certain psychological needs. According to the survey, many students will participate in the informal groups, the interaction between students and the community, mutual reaction, students will gain experience in the process of interaction, and format personality. Therefore, in real life, the informal groups also need our attention.Pupil’s cognition of things is immature; they lack the competence of judgment to a lot of things. Those informal groups which pupils join in runs counter to the activities’ mode, aim, request and a detail of school’s formal groups’ initiate, the direct result is that students did something against school law, caused negative impact on school and family. However, the premise of the establishment of informal group is able to meet students’ psychological and emotional needs. In general, reasonable and correct guidance of communicative behavior of informal groups is a question which worth pondering for educators, administrators especially primary school administrators and parents, they need to further consider the problem in children training process, its meaning is profound and will carry huge influence.This paper first analyzes the aim and significance of this problem briefly, defines the core concepts of group, informal group, and informal groups of students; then reviews the relevant literature both at home and abroad; analyses the influence of informal groups to the individuals’ development. Then, introduces the related theory. This paper selects primary school student as research object, uses social measurement to investigate the current situation of interpersonal relationship, analyses the origin, types, characteristics of informal groups. Analyses the particularity of informal groups of primary school students and its causes. Furthermore, proposes the strategies of educational management of informal groups in primary school.
