The interest is the most important motivation to inspire students to learn, students’ learninginterest directly determines student’s motivation and purpose, and learning outcomes as well. Due to the bigpressure of the college entrance examination, a lot of course, time tight and a variety of reasons, ideologicaland political course teaching can’t be concerned, the teacher give lectures consistently scripted, do not payattention to stimulate and develop students’ interest to learn ideological and political course, result in thestudents are almost no interest in learning this course, this is completely not accord with the newcurriculum ideas, and contrary to the requirements of quality education. The reasons for this phenomenonare manifold: the students’ deviation of understanding of the ideological and political course, the studentsdo not attach importance of the function and educational meaning of the ideological and political coursefrom their hearts, also their learning motivation is incorrect, purpose is not just, enthusiasm is not high,attitude is not correct, the learning method is also very mechanical; parents’ attitude towards their child’slearning also directly affect their learning enthusiasm, ideological and political course is paid no attentionin the tension high school stage by their parents, and their old consciousness towards high schoolideological and political course is also the main reason of the students’ deviation of conception and weakinterest for the ideological and political course; school’s adjustment made the education of high schoolideological and political course quite unreasonable, mainly with the teachers provided, the hours beallocated for each course, the final evaluation and the emphasizes of each subjects and so on, which affectstudents’ learning interests and the teachers’ teaching enthusiasms, too; The dogmatic teaching philosophyin high school ideological and political teachers and outdated teaching methods, boring theoreticalknowledge of books and the dull ideological and political class are more the important reasons for studentshave no interest in ideological and political course; Coupled with unreasonable evaluation system, all toimprove the enrollment rate, the college entrance examination score is more important than all, and thelearning interest is not to take into account, all of these are the important reasons lead to students’ interest inideological and political course becomes weakening. Therefore, to upgrade students’ interest of theirideological and political course is very important. To this end, I combined teaching experience and literature through the analysis and explore of the domestic and foreign research of the learning interest,elaborated the importance to improve the learning interest of ideological and political course. Though theway of consulting the literature material and discussion, made in-depth analysis of the status quo andproblems existing in the high school students’ learning interests in ideological and political course, in theaspects of students, families, schools, teachers, evaluation system and social factors. And elaboratedpractical ways and means of improving the high school students’ interest in ideological and political coursefrom enhancing the awareness of the importance of the ideological and political course, improving andinnovating teaching methods, establishing a harmonious relationship between teachers and students,strengthening the teaching staff, building scientific evaluation system and increasing the strengths of thesociety to pay more attention and so on, to provide reference and help to further improve the high schoolideological and political teaching.
