Post-modernism rised in the west culture and philosophy, it began to spread all over the world from70s to80s of the20th century, the "ghost" get out of the field of literature, entered into many fields such as art, history, philosophy, and become an extensive cultural zeitgeist. Post-modernism criticizes, negates and surpass Modernism in a reverse way of thinking. It has affected every aspect of society, and also has a huge influence in the aspect of education fields. Post-modern education thoughts advocated equality of education, the teaching purpose of diversity and the open course view. It have a positive significance on the development of education concept. But the thoughts are too absolute in some aspects, such as students’ subjectivity, equal relationship between teachers and students and against identity, etc. And it overlooks the necessity of the authority of teachers, and has made the mistake of overcorrect. This paper expounds the necessity of the authority of teachers based on the thoughts of post-modernism and analyses the influence on the authority of teachers and puts forward the ways and methods to construct the new stype of teacher authority.The article is divided into five parts. The first part is introduction, including the goal and significance of this topic, domestic and international research trends, research ideas and methods, as well as the aporia and the innovation point. The second part expounds the concept and characteristics of post-modernism and also discuss the main ideas of this thoughts. The third part introduces the concepts of authority and the authority of teachers. And discuss the necessity of the university teachers’ authority through method of questionnaire survey. The fourth part is an important part of the paper, it analysis the representation of the influence on the authority of teachers, and eliminate the positive and negative influence. The fifth part puts forward the new mode of university teachers’ authority, expounds ways to construct the new college teacher authority.The main idea of this article’s is as follows:1, The scholars who advocates the thoughts of post-modernism have made a harsh criticism on the shortcomings of modern education, emphasised education should be democracy, openness and diversity. And constructed a new framework of education in the aspect of educational concept, education objective, curriculum, the relationship between teachers and students and education research method.2、The authority of college teacher plays a very important role in teaching. The authority of college teacher is the need of the development of students,and is the need of the role of teachers’ achievement, is a foundation for the formation of a reasonable relationship between teachers and students, The authority of college teacher helps to achieve better teaching effect.3、Post-modern education has weaken the university teachers’ authority, such as the legal authority of university teacher has been weaken, from teacher has the high authority to be equal between teachers and students and as the executor of the course, the university teachers has been played down.The positive influence on the authority of teacher is breaking the traditional mode of "binary opposition" between teachers and students, overturns the traditional university teaching activities—force-feeding.It has reshaped the dialogical relationship between teachers and students as well as liberate the bondage of "authority"thought. The negative influence is emphasizes the freedom of university students excessively, ignores scientific and social knowledge, plays down the university teacher’s guidance and discipline, rejects the type of accepting study, reduces the learning efficiency, despises the knowledge from books, weaken the development of the university student.4、The ways to construct the new college teacher authority including construct the teachers’ authority and the authority of system. To construct the university teachers’ authority,we should increase the university teachers’ professional knowledge, ability and enchantment. To construct the authority of system,we should implement the university education laws and regulations system to safeguard it, and innovate the system of education management. Last we should establish the supervision mechanism of the teachers who is in the college.
