Physical education is an important part of school education. As theimplementers of physical education teaching practice, the happiness level of sportsteachers affects the quality and the level of sports teaching. It is of great importanceto identify whether the undeveloped operating conditions and teaching resources willaffect the sports teachers’ sense of happiness and the implementation of sportsteachers education in rural areas. This paper takes sports teachers in the ruralcompulsory education stage in Jingzhou city for example, investigates the sense ofhappiness of those teachers in rural areas, finds out the favorable factors andunfavorable factors which affect the level of happiness, and then comes up withsome targeted suggestions.The author investigated292effective samples of sports teachers in Jingzhourural compulsory education stage,120effective samples of non-sports teachers inrural areas,80effective samples of sports teachers in urban areas. Among them,216sports teachers in rural primary school,76sports teachers rural middle school. Theresearch find that the sense of happiness of rural sports teachers is higher, about41%of investigators to be happy,45%sports teachers feel general happiness,14%of thesports teachers to be unhappy; the sense of happiness of sports teachers in primaryschool is higher than middle school; the sense of happiness of rural sports teachers islower than rural non-sports teachers, at the same time lower than urban sportsteachers. In individual differences, sense of happiness of male and female sportsteachers is close, no significant differences. Along with the growth of the age, thelevel of happiness decreased at first and then increased; the higher position the morehappiness of sports teachers.Through the investigation, the professional happiness of sports teachers isderived from preference for teachers, progress together between teachers and students, family or leadership support and harmonious work relations, and welfare,social status, self actualization and so on impact the sense of happiness of sportsteachers.Suggestion: Continuous attention and concerns shall be invested into PhysicalEducation and PE teachers in rural areas. And in the mean time, PE teachers shoulddevelop better understanding of themselves as well as their career as PE teachers.Furthermore, they should have a well-planned career arrangement. From theperspective of the nation, increased amount of educational budget shall be allocatedto the educational affairs in rural areas, alleviate the pressure of those PE teacher bydistributing load of work reasonably, and establish a fairer evaluation system. Also,PE teachers should constantly improve their professional competence, and takeinitiative to participate in sports, so that both teachers and students may feel the joyand happiness of sports. And from the angle of the society, the society has to showits humanistic care to those teachers and the whole community shall help maintainthe better social atmosphere of respecting teachers.
