This paper makes a research on the status quo of offering volleyball teaching in physical education major in university, the status quo of teachers’ teaching state in middle school volleyball teaching and the status quo of students’learning state based on documentary analysis method, questionnaire survey method, expert interview method, mathematical statistics method and logical analysis method, and points out some problems in the adequate and scientific linkage of volleyball teaching in university and middle school, and the main conclusion of this research is:1.The cultivating objective for physical education major in Shanxi and National Ordinary Higher School Sports Education Undergraduate Course Plan is nearly the same, and cultivating objectives in some schools is higher, which has certain deviation with social demand. The teaching objective in our province lives up to the requirement of teachers’cultivating objective.2.In this survey, we find that volleyball teachers associate professors in physical education major takes up75%in5universities, the referee above level1takes up92%and they have higher level.3.The survey finds that normal universities have more time in volleyball teaching than comprehensive universities. Teaching contents are indistinctive and extracurricular training and fitness guidance contents take up less proportion. Volleyball teaching in university is adapted to middle school sports and healthy.4.The ability cultivation of colleges students focuses on professional skills, teaching competence and organizing ability, they respectively take up75%, middle school students’academic performance emphasizes professional skill and theory testing, taking up100%, learning attitude and daily performance takes up67%, judging and competition organizing ability takes up33%, students’self-assessment and teaching organizing ability respectively take up25%. 5.Men and women ratio is imbalanced in middle school physical education teachers, teachers age and title structure is rational and they are qualified for volleyball teaching, they have less opportunities for go out learning, less5takes up57%. In compiling volleyball teaching plan, compiling detailed teaching plan takes up23%, compiling brief teaching plan takes up71%,60%don’t often compile teaching plan.6.In the survey of setting middle school volleyball teaching objective,10middle schools have clear volleyball teaching objectives takes in our province and it adapts to the curriculum objective requirement in Sports and Healthy Curriculum Standard.7.Middle school volleyball teaching contents are set by group discussion of physical education teams and practice lesson is to teach ready position, passing ball, serving ball and forearming ball, theory lesson is to teach the introduction of volleyball sports, injury and prevention, fitness knowledge and efficacy, volleyball match appreciation, rules and judging method, other sports knowledge and so on.8.Middle school volleyball teaching methods focus on the combination of explanation and demonstration, combing against entertainment takes up91%, emphasizing students’autonomous exercise takes up43%, combing audio-visual instruction takes up29%. While students like to learn combing against entertainment.9.According to the interview to university teachers, they mainly apply traditional teaching methods in volleyball teaching, namely demonstration, explanation, exercise, correction and competition. Applying multimedia teaching and combing against entertainment is less.Suggestion:1.The proportion of cultivating innovative spirit and practice ability, cultivating the ability of adapting to the society and cultivating applying volleyball to guide nationwide fitness in setting teaching objectives in our province should be increased.2.In university volleyball teaching contents, the proportion of "training and fitness guidance" should be increased and increase teaching time, so that students can systematical learn teaching knowledge, thus to adapt to social demand.3.In university volleyball teaching methods, We should adjust teaching methods so as to make teaching methods diversified and specific, emphasizin students’subjective role and cultivating students’autonomous learning ability, practicing ability and creative ability, thus to make volleyball teaching more colorful.
