The physics concept is the foundation of physics. But many problems exist in the current teaching and learning of physics concept. The teaching methods are mostly indoctrination of the knowledge, and the students passively receive the knowledge. The concept in their mind is isolated, which is the lack of effective background support. According to the theory of constructivism, situation creation can provide effective background support for the physics concept. Thus, the author has made the relevant researches on the situation creation and senior high school students’ understanding of physics concept, which aims at changing the teaching and learning of physics concept, to meet the requirements for the development of the times. It focuses on the development of teaching media, which is mainly based on the multimedia, in order to enhance the senior high school students’ understanding of physics concept.The author, by looking up the information about the relevant theory of physics concept and situation creation, has found that the teaching of physics concept needs to first arouse students’ presentation, and then adapts to and assimilates the environment by the learners’ original cognitive structure and experience, to establish the schema of physics concept. And the situation can create a good imagination environment for the learners, to make them integrate into the situation for the concept establishment, which can be preliminarily analyzed that situation creation is relevant with the senior high school students’ understanding of physics concept. The author based on the theory has made the teaching experiments, establishing the experimental class and the comparative class and making the students take pre-tests and post-tests. According to the data of pre-tests and post-tests, the author has taken the statistical analysis, finding that when the difference of the early period between the experimental class and the comparative class is small, the evaluation scores and excellence rate of the experimental class are obviously higher than that of the comparative class after the teaching experiment. So the conclusion is that situation creation has correlation with the senior high school students’understanding of physics concept, which is a positive correlation.
