| Entrepreneurship is deeply linked with the development of economic, as a determinant of economic growth. China’s long-term urban-rural dual system has led to the existence of a large number of migrant farmers, the career selection of this group will no doubt has direct impact on the potential of city economic development, so researching the entrepreneurial behavior of them has great significance. Empirical study of previous researchers has considered many influencing factors, such as individual characteristics of the entrepreneur, social networks and environment system. They always tend to ignore the impact of the element of space. Due to economic constraints, many of the migrant workers choose to live together in the urban villages, the impact of this spatial factor on entrepreneurial activities of migrant workers is the focus of this article.Based on the sample survey data of more than2000samples, this article select the explanatory variables with reference to the previous literature and establish the regression model, then use the STATA software to run the regression on whether to venture and the wage of entrepreneur. It’s an empirical analysis of the factors to affect the entrepreneurial activities of migrant workers, and it focus on exploring the space elements of urban village. Conclusions are as follows:First, living together in the urban villages has a positive effect for migrant workers to become entrepreneur as well as the rise of income, so spatial factors do have impact on the entrepreneurial activity and the economic output of migrant workers.Second, whether having political capital has little impact on the entrepreneurial activities of migrant workers. The growth of the number of year worker left hometown will increase the probability to become entrepreneur, at the same time, frequent changes in non-farm work will reduce the probability of become entrepreneur.Third, as to the social network relationships, the importance of the family members to migrant workers is much higher than fellow partners, leaving hometown with family and living with family can both improve the entrepreneurial possibility. The venture difficulty of migrant workers has significant difference between different regions and different industry. |
