Effective Learning is an important learning method to improve cultural literacy of students,to make secondary vocational students achieve comprehensive development,even to change the inefficiency and ineffectiveness that exist in Chinese teaching in some secondary vocational schools.So it is secondary vocational schools’ responsibility to take ways to achieve Effective Learning.In this paper,questionnaires, interviews and empirical research are used to investigate in the status quo of teaching and learning Chinese in secondary vocational schools and set it forth based on the facts,also to analyze the factors that affect vocational students’learning language effectively,and then try to propose some countermeasures based on the analysis.The survey results show that the status quo of Chinese teaching and learning in secondary vocational schools is far from satisfactory, mainly as follows:low status of Chinese in students’mind,passive class performance and no interest,students’lack of self-learning, self-improvement consciousness, miss of close relationship between teachers and students,not enough encouragements and diversified evaluation and the teaching content detached from real life.The factors that course the Chinese teaching and learning unsatisfactory including courses underprivileged,textbooks lacking in vocational characteristic and modern atmosphere,teachers lacking in sense of vocational education,diversified teaching methods and consciousness of innovation,students not interested in learning,lacking in wide knowledge and strong sense of the phrase.This paper puts forwards countermeasures aim at the problems above,trying to guide vocational students to achieve effective learning in Chinese and to promote the goal to make students achieve comprehensive balanced development.
