Interpersonal relationship is a psychological link among people, which is an emotional support and alife support more importantly. Therefore, building harmonious interpersonal relationship is crucial topeople undoubtedly. The harmonious thought of Chinese traditional is broad and profound, with Confuciusas the representative of the Confucian thoughts occupy an important position, including love, loyalty,honesty, generosity, humility, and so on. These ideas are in the process of interpersonal communication, butalso are essential conditions to establish harmonious interpersonal relationships. Harmonious culture is anew concept brought out from the concept of harmony in interpersonal relationships which contains theessence of Confucian Harmonious Thought in the static state, and in the dynamic state it advocates peopleto grasp and utilize the concept of harmony, build up harmonious interpersonal relationship.College students are a special group, because they are not only in a transition period of physical andmental development, but also in a transition period into society. During this critical period, the possibilityof establishing harmonious interpersonal relationship is not only related to the students’ learning, moreinfluence on their future career and life. The interpersonal relationship of contemporary university studentsare optimistic in general, but still exist some problems affected many aspects. One is college students areindifference to traditional harmonious interpersonal idea, including lack of thinking and understanding,lack of feelings and attention, will cultivate adventitious, ineffective behavior practice. It highlights theweak of students’ knowledge, love, meaning, line. On the other hand there are three bad tendencies incollege students’ interpersonal relationships, including interest tendency, both sides tendency and virtualtendency. The reasons leading to these problems are various, the macro level is mainly reflected in theinterpersonal trust crisis, interpersonal network crisis, interpersonal interests crisis. Influence of micro-levelincludes school management is insufficient, family upbringing is improper, individual physical and mentaldevelopment is not mature. The last part of the paper is the countermeasures proposed in current situationand reasons of university students’ interpersonal relationship. It combined with forces of school, family andsocial to improve college students. This is the external condition for the focus strategy. But moreimportant,it should start from the students themselves, studying the knowledge and theory seriously,mastering the principles and concepts of interpersonal, using the methods and skills of interpersonal communication skillfully, and building harmonious interpersonal relationships through their own efforts.
