Professional settings are the key to the development of countryside vocational education. In this research we surveyed the vocational education center in county D, county T, city S in Jilin province and T county in Zhejiang Province, carried out a few interviews and questionnaires for the teachers and students in these schools, and also for the staff of the higher education leadership. We lead to understand the professional settings and existing problems in those vocational education centers currently, explore the reasons, and seek to be able to put forward reasonable suggestions. At last, we hope to enrich the theory of countryside vocational education, provide a reference for the County Vocational Education Center and Rural Vocational Education Center.The main research object of the study is three County Vocational Education Center in Jilin Province and a county-level vocational education center in Zhejiang Province. This paper adopts literature method, questionnaire and structure interview method, statistical analysis method.The first part is the preface, include the background and significance of research, research ideas, contents, methods.The second part is related theoretical studies in professional settings of vocational education, include the definition, theoretical basis and policy basis.The third part is the surver of professional settings for country D,S,T in Jilin Province, Country C in Zhejiang Province, Include basic situation of vocational education center and professional settings. The fourth part is the presentation of the experiences and problems in the existing problems in the professional setting in the County Vocational Education Center. Experiences are:implemented professional layout adjustment and co-ordinate; strengthen school-enterprise cooperation; opened up a "school-enterprise and government and agricultural" model of vocational education. Problems include lack of standardization in professional names, small-scale of profession, low cost-effectiveness; professional settings are mainly for major in further studies, less for skilled speciality; professional duplication in regional school, lack of features and brand professional; inflexibility in school system; disconnect with social need industry and enterprise.The fifth part is the reason analysis to the existing problem in the professional settings of County Vocational Education Center, traditional concepts of education, development initiative of school, the employment situation, capital investment, practical training equipment, teachers, the education system, the government, the support and cooperation of business and industry, economic development level and other reasons.The sixth part of is the countermeasures for the professional development of County Vocational Education Center, mainly to improve the vocational education system, the transformation of traditional education ideas, combination of academic education and short-term training, enhancing the school’s strength in order to enhance the attractiveness, strengthening the school cooperation between government, industry and enterprise practice.
