Composition teaching has been attracted much attention in Chinese teaching. It is also an important part of composition teaching especially in primary school stage which is a critical stage in writing. Good writing comments can stimulate students’ interest in writing, and it can improve the students’ writing ability. What’s more it can give students encouragement and inspiration. On the contrary, if comments lose its functionality and effectiveness, it maybe make the students ignore writing comments that teachers have hard time writing it., so that students may lose interest in writing. The amendment of the new curriculum puts forward a new criterion for the evaluation of the past Chinese language teaching. A large number of educators will attach more attention in the link of the teaching evaluation. As writing comments is an important content of Chinese composition teaching evaluation, we think that it will be necessary by bringing the new idea of evaluation into the actual situation of composition teaching for deeply research.Text analysis and case analysis are mainly used in this study. Collecting the composition comment and case of a primary school in Changchun City and the fourth to the sixth grade of primary school in Shenzhen, we analyze them from many aspects, such as the composition of pupil composition, the correcting method of the composition, the function of writing comments and the effectiveness. By analysising the case, we can reveal the current status and problems of pupils’ writing comments.The paper is divided into four parts. The first part introduces the research condition of domestic composition comment as well as the significance of this study; the second part introduces the theory of the primary school composition written comments, such as the connotation, features and functions of comments; the third part reveals the current situation and problems of primary school composition comments by analysising the text; the last part puts forward improvement strategies of the current problems.
