Using discussion-based teaching method in middle school history teachingconforms to the current teaching reform advocated by the teacher to adopt to thediversity of teaching methods, teachers, students as the main body of the teachingidea. But in the actual application process or become a mere formality for the mostpart, there are many reasons: teachers do not have a true understanding of themeaning of discussion-based teaching method; Discussion of middle school studentscognitive level, historical knowledge has certain requirements, discussion-basedteaching implementation process is complex; The teaching effect ofDiscussion-based teaching method needs long-term application to emerge and so on.This paper discussion-based teaching method applied in the middle schoolhistory teaching the theoretical basis of combined with the specific application, andto "the founder of new China Mao Zedong" for the specific case tried to explorediscussion-based teaching method in middle school history teaching the applicationof a series of problems. This article altogether consists of six parts, the first part ofthe introduction part, introduced the research problem is put forward and theresearch status at home and abroad, and explains the research purpose andsignificance of this article. The second part introduces the discussion-based teachingmethod applied in the middle school history teaching the theoretical basis, includingdefinition of discussion-based teaching method, constructivism, humanism,Vygotsky’s social and cultural theory and history discipline theory basis. The thirdpart is the concrete application of discussion-based teaching method in the middleschool history teaching, to "the founder of new China MAO zedong" for the specificcase, on the application of the discussion-based teaching method in the middleschool history teaching conditions and the specific procedures in this paper. Thefourth part in view of the specific case of discussion-based teaching method appliedin the middle school history teaching the meaning of Angle are analyzed from theperspective of students and teachers. The fifth part is through the case notesdiscussion-based teaching method applied in the middle school history teaching andthe deficiency of the strategy are analyzed. Part6is the conclusion. Not covered onthis article expounds the principle of and reflections on the paper summarizes,discussion-based teaching tend to cultivate the students’ learning methods, skills, andemotional attitude and values, knowledge and abilities needed in the long time ofpractice to display.
