Tony Buzan invented the mind maps, which are starting to get worldwide attention since1970s. In recent years, mind maps are introduced into the education gradually, and more andmore people introduce mind maps into many disciplines, such as physics, chemistry, biologyand so on. However, the mind maps are not applied to the high school information technologydisciplines so much.Characterization of a mind map is a kind of divergent thinking, it uses a lot ofwords,color, images, and lines, etc.,which have a great stimulation to student’s vision. Idecided to apply the mind maps to the high school information technology, which helpteachers’ teaching and students’ learning.This thesis is divided into five chapters, respectively,which are the background of theresearch, related concepts and theoretical basis, mind mapping strategy in the application ofhigh school information technology course, and the prospect of experiment. In high schoolinformation technology course, people can use a mind map to help teachers’ teaching andstudents learning. Teachers can use mind maps to prepare lessons, teach new lesson, andrevision old lesson,while,students can use mind maps to prepare the lessons, take notes andreview. This paper adopts literature research, experimental method, questionnaire surveymethod and interview method, etc.This paper aims to explore the impact of mind map in thehigh school information technology courses, the problems we should pay attention to and thedifference of different gender drawing a mind map, etc. So maybe one day it can give somesuggestions to the people who use it.
