College students are the main driving force for the future development andconstruction in our country. In the process of constructing a Socialist Country underthe Rule of Law,the basic thoughts of college students plays a vital role. Thus,theprofessional education in law school solely cannot fulfill this tough goal of improvingpeople’ law concept. Therefore,to cultivating and perfecting college students’ viewsof rule-of-law is a necessary and urgent task in the university’ ideological and politicaleducation. The17thNPC of Communist Party reports pointed out that” expandsocialist democracy,build a socialist country under the rule of law and developsocialist political civilization”. Propaganda Department of the Central Committee andDepartment of Justice put the Five-year publicizing China’s legal work in school as itsmain point. National education reform and development of long-term planningprograms(2010-2020)also emphasis the rule of law education relatively in theideological and political work. By multiple factors, the rule of law education incontemporary college students exist the problem of lacking of knowledge and wrongideas and insufficient attention focus on it. So studying on the rule of law educationfor contemporary college students need to keep up the pace with times andcharacterized by practical, realistic and targeted.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part is an overview of the rule of laweducation. According to problems in ideological and political education work, thispart especially define the concept of the rule of law, values of the rule of law in aorigin-defined way and,also distinct and comb the related definitions necessarilyand point out that the practical significance of the rule of law education. The secondpart elaborate three main participators including school, teachers and students basedon a lot of surveys and data analysis of the current view of the rule of education. Thethird part of this paper analyze the rule of law education of contemporary collegestudents according to the reality of the status quo and make a relatively systematic andcomprehensive exposition on the subject, object, content, methods, and theenvironment, especially the views of rule of law in the causes of culture in the scientific point of view of ideological and political education. The fourth part isfollowed by the reason which written in third part of the paper and the status quo ofthe rule of law education, combined with knowledge of related disciplines and posethe basis of the corresponding countermeasures in order to improve the effectivenessand scientific of the rule of law education.In the process of writing this paper,comparison method, document analyticalmethod--the more commonly used in the ideological and political education one, andsocial survey and others are widely used and draws extensively on the knowledge ofthe law, management, sociology, psychology and other disciplines. I persist in seekingthe truth and the attitude of describing reasons according facts,thus to expect toachieve the original intention of the initial writing of this paper, namely to adhere tothe principle of ideological and political education and flexibility in the rule of laweducation; adhere to the theory of innovative and practical operability; put forward abold vision of the future rule of law education development based on the realityproblems. In order to argue and prove boldly of the rule of law,which is occupied anawkward position in the content of ideological and political education through thesystematic and detailed finishing of "rule of law education".
