Picture book is children’s books that relying on a series of pictures and few words, or no words, all by pictures to express the theme. With the introduction of foreign classic picture books, picture books gradually came to the attention of educators and researchers in our country. In recent years, a large number of children’s education researchers and teachers realize the importance of reading picture books on children’s growth, and they begin to try to put the picture book in reference to teaching. However, the domestic picture books’ reading is just getting started, so it has a lot of problems. How to convert these excellent picture books to effective and use of curriculum resources, and carry out the read-teaching with picture book for the reading material? It has become a practical problem that need to be solved. In the process of studying literature that related picture book’s reading, the author found that most of the picture books are used in the kindergarten teaching, and education researchers and teachers’ eyes also stay on young children, ignoring the important value of picture book for primary school students. Therefore, the author put Yinchuan18primary schools as the research object, understand the currently status quot of reading in school, design the teaching of the picture book reading, carry out picture books reading teaching activity that is given priority to with reading class and secondary to with morning reading and read silently, analysis the effect of the picture books reading teaching’s implementation at last. This study explores teaching design and teaching mode of reading through theory combined with practice, aimed at giving some inspiration and reference for teachers who are carrying out or will carry out picture book’s reading, truly put the picture book into the school’s daily teaching and being a effective curriculum resources for primary school’s teaching.
