Research On The Mechanism Of High-level Talents Introduction Of Research Universities In China

Our research universities pursue the goal of building the world-class university,which forms a higher demand for the faculty of research universities. Comparedwith the research universities in the developed countries or regions, both the sizeand the structure of the faculty of our research universities are inferior. The gapbetween the goal and the reality prompts the urgent demands of our researchuniversities for talents, especially the high-level talents. The universities propose avariety of policies, measures and procedures of introduction to attract the high-leveltalents working for the universities and forms their own distinctive mechanismand mode of the high-level talents introduction.The paper selects29research universities directly under the Ministry ofEducation and in the first phase of985Project and1research universit y under theMinistry of Industry and Information Technology. The paper analyzes the presentsituation of the faculty of the30selected research universities by using clusteranalysis and divides the30research universities into6categories according to thepresent situation of the faculty, then selects6research universities each from the6categories as research objects. From3aspects:the objects and conditions of thehigh-level talents introduction, the procedure of the high-level talents introduction,and the follow-up management on the high-level talents,the paper summarizes thesituation of high-level talents introduction of our research universities. The paperanalyzes the problems of the preparatory work, the introduction process and thefollow-up management, and uses empirical analysis to analyze these problems byquestionnaire survey. And then the paper gives corresponding suggestions tooptimize the mechanism of the high-level talents introduction of our researchuniversities: strategic planning, including the demand-oriented mechanism, theoptions diversity mechanism and the training of participants mechanism; perfect theprocedure of the high-level talents introduction, including the active publicitymechanism, the experts and counterparts effect mechanism, and so on; strengthenthe follow-up management, including the functional department coordinationmechanism, the mechanism of integrating into the circumstances and culture, themechanism of long-term professional development and the mechanism ofinnovative talent appraisal.
