National Games with Chinese characteristics as a product of the era, is the most widelyaffected large comprehensive sports event. So far, it has gone more than half a century ofhistory, and also witnessed the take off of China’s sports development. After the BeijingOlympics, National Games is entering a new stage of development, and the games ’development reflects the domestic changes in the social environment.This paper use Pareto analysis and comparative analysis methods, take Tianjincompetitive events which won medals in recent3national games and its main competitoras research objects. Attempt to use the theory of comparative advantage analysis on thecomparative advantages of Tianjin nearly three games project groups and potentialadvantages of project groups. On this basis, investigation of Tianjin sports item inNational Games in the current situation, problems and reform measures. Purpose is toenhance the overall strength of Tianjin sports, for12and13Games glory, promotion ofTianjin sports development to adapt "building sports city" needs.Main conclusions of the study are as follows:1. The advantage items which Tianjin takes part in the national games are: swimming,volleyball, tennis, fencing, martial arts, judo, gymnastics seven; potential advantagesof item: baseball, water polo, cycling, track and field, taekwondo, weightlifting,wrestling, shooting, table tennis, football, hockey, boxing.2. Comparative advantages of Tianjin development relatively even, potential advantageof projects are relatively fewer; Shanghai advantages relative to obvious comparativeadvantage; the index of the potential advantage project and comparative advantagechange little; Heilongjiang have obvious advantages in winter sports, potentialadvantages the project less slow development of Fujian’s comparative advantages theproject, improving modestly, latent advantages overall project on the rise. Thefollowing status should be remained stable. 3. Through the comparison of Tianjin, Shanghai, Heilongjiang and Fujian’s comparativeadvantages the project groups and found that: Project group comparative advantage ofShanghai and Tianjin mutual constraints. Constraints on the comparative advantagesof Tianjin project groups is power restriction from Tianjin to Shanghai; Fujian andTianjin mutual influence in the comparative advantages of the project groups,overlapping projects are not much. Heilongjiang and Tianjin mutual restriction isunlikely; they both have their independent development space.4. Comparison of Tianjin, Shanghai, Heilongjiang and Fujian l potential dominantgroups, study finds that: Tianjin and Shanghai restrict each other in potentialadvantages projects group. Tianjin and Fujian relative score index is fluctuating,Tianjin need to further enhance the curb of the competitive strength of Fujian.Heilongjiang and Tianjin overlapping space is small, it means that Tianjin andHeilongjiang restraint is unlikely.
