As one of the basic techniques, blocking plays a significant role in modern volleyball. It isnot only the first defense, but is a means of scoring, which can also be thrilling. Currently, Basedon the features of good judgment, quick movement, exact positioning, the excellent middleblockers in the world take a feature of hanging which helps the middle blockers who is forced tojump with displacement in the air to block the ball of which those who are not able to move tothe position. In the air of displacement, the excellent middle blockers always keep good posture,and take an active in adjusting the posture. Compared with the excellent middle blockers,Chinese players who often float in the air exist in the gap in posture control of blocking.Recently, core strength training has become a research concern. Each team has graduallybeen involved in core strength training in the routine physical fitness training. Studies havefound that core strength training plays an important role in many aspects such as enhancing thespecific quality of players including the ability of balance and the ability of waist strength,improving the energy transportation and consumption of players, reducing pelvis sway,promoting the performance.The dissertation applies the theory of core strength training and integrates the feature ofblocking movement. Based on the core steady training which conducts a fourteen week trainingwith fifteen volleyball players, Using several research methods such as quality testing method,training experimental method and image analytical method aims at improving the controllingability of body in the air when blocking, promoting the improvement of blocking techniques,which provides methods and means in blocking training. Research have shown:1. Training plan has improved the basic stability of players, which mainly reflects in theimprovement of the ability of muscle group in the front, the side and the back in the core areas.Training uses different movement of different body direction ranging from the basic bridgecombination to the movement in the unstable base of supporting to effectively stimulate targetmuscle group, which gets a better effect.2. Training plan has improved the balance ability of players, which mainly reflects in thefollowing aspects: to strengthen the ability of coordinating force of muscle group and the abilityof balance controlling of players, to improve the ability of coordinating force under the circumstances of imbalance with the apparatus of balance board incorporated with the movementof ball throwing and later flexion from different directions.3. Training plan has improved the indexes of motion blocking and fixed position blocking,which mainly reflects in the strengthening of posture control when blocking. The training placesemphasis on the controlling the waist to improve techniques and immediate feedbacks fromcoaches enable players to know about the training, which can also receive a better effect.
