The learning motivation of college students has a very important impact on thecurrent education and teaching, and has caught great attentions from the experts andpsychologists at home or abroad. The rapid developments of the network technologyand the changes of the studying environment highlight the problems of the collegestudents’ learning motivation. The core aim of the study is to make a research of thecurrent situation and the influential factors of college students’ learning motivationunder the network environment, taking common course "Modern EducationalTechnology" as an Example so as to improve the students’ learning motivation and laya solid foundation of their future study and work.The study uses the method of literature study toward the relevant works oflearning motivation and makes an deep analysis of the current situation and theinfluential factors of college students’ learning motivation under the networkenvironment is carried out under the background of the network environment in t heera of information technology both at home and abroad. Then through thequestionnaire survey, I investigate the learning motivation of132undergraduates ofthe Northwest Normal University.The results indicate:First, at present, the overall level of students’ learning motivation about thecommon course "modern educational technology" under the support of networkenvironment is higher with specific learning goals; the extrinsic motivation hasgreater effect on student learning motivation than intrinsic motivation; thelong-ranged motivation has greater influence than short-ranged motivation; theconfidence of the students is higher with a good perseverance in studying. Thenetwork environment improves the students’ learning motivation at a certain degree,but the degree of satisfaction is not higher.Second, the students’ learning motivation factors are seven follow as: teacher,learning resources and learners themselves factors, learning activities, social structurefactors, learning support and learners’ cognitive factors. Then based on the aboveconclusions and the reflection of this study, I put forward several measures on improving the learning motivation of college students, and the expected study wasdiscussed.
