The routine education of kindergarten is the codes of conduct that infant should obeyduring their stay in preschool. We divide the routine into three parts which are daily livesroutine, public lives routine and cardinal virtue routine. This study was carried out in the cityof Xingtai; we chose two younger classes in two private kindergartens where non-participantobservation was lasted for one month respectively. The main object was to observe how theyconducted the routine education during their kinds of activities. Then, we summarizedrespectively from the routine enactment, conduct, maintenance and evaluation. Through theliteratures and the analysis of firsthand observations, we drew the conclusion as follows. First, the routines of junior kindergarten are made mainly by teachers, while the infants are rarelyinvolved in it. Second, daily lives routine is focused on excessively by teachers, while publiclives routine and cardinal virtue routine they emphasize rarely. Third, teaching and criticismare the main ways in the routine education, while praise and encouragement are relatively less.Fourth, the maintenance of the routine is mainly rely on the prevention and punishment to theviolation by teachers. The subject of evaluation about routine is based on others, and theeffects are mainly negative. The routine education of kindergartens are apt to the managementof the preschool it often ignores the individual growth of infants. The purpose of the preschool routine making is to promote the growth and developmentof infants, but it deviates from the right orbit. As to the preschool, they focus mainly on theconvenient management and consider the need of infants less. As to the infant, the routine isonly external restraint, they have no understanding about it, so they can not form theawareness of regulation. The reasons for this situation are also discussed, the restrictions ofideas, larger scale classes, the limited teacher resources, excessive safe consciousness andmanagement systems of kindergarten, which together result in the current situation. In orderto exert the value of the routine education, we suggest that the kindergarten should foster theteachers’ routine educational concept and set more reasonable standards; what is more, theyshould increase awareness of the routine education of kindergarten, adopt diversified methodsin their routine education and cooperate with family.
