Research Career Mode Normal College Students Entire Process

Education is the cornerstone of national renewal and social progress. Hu Jintao’s report at18th Party Congress put education the first consideration, regarding to improving the people’s wellbeing and social development, and pointed out that the country will "work hard to run education to the satisfaction of the people". This highlighted the Party pays great attention to education and the determination of developing education. As for the institutions of higher education, from which teachers come, the level of career guidance determines how the normal students all get jobs and to what level they serve the whole society. It also has effect on the college education revolution. Still, it has a great impact on the realization of balanced development of the education in China. Under such a background, the traditional career guidance model has fallen far behind the current needs of normal students. This resulted in the lack of comprehensive quality and the general loss among normal students when they have to choose their future. To solve these problems, and train the students to be qualified teachers, the career guidance in colleges shall change the old way characterized by "few contents, short duration, and few methods" and start a FULL PROCESS CAREER GUIDIANCE MODEL (the MODLE) to prepare the students well psychically, mentally, and practically for their jobs.This essay is consisted of four chapters. Chapter1, the Introduction part, mainly focuses on the background and significance of this study. It summarizes the current studies of college career guidance models both domestically and abroad. Chapter2focuses on the current career guidance practice in colleges. A survey about the current situation of college career guidance was done and problems, as well as the causes were found out. Then a study on these problems and causes reaches to the conclusion that the current short-term-sales-promotion guidance model has to be improved. Chapter3focuses on the necessity and feasibility of a FULL PROCESS CAREER GUIDIANCE MODEL for normal students. The concept of full process career guidance is interpreted here. The elements that impact the necessity and feasibility of the MODLE are discussed here theoretically and practically. Chapter4focuses on the construction of the MODLE. A full scale analysis on the construction principle, construction phase, and construction elements is done and then the construction idea comes out. This idea could be summed up by "one principle, two teams, three parties, four phases, and five standards". Meanwhile, suggestions covering six aspects need to be considered when delivering the MODEL are raised in this essay. They are respectively improving the perceive, changing the guidance concept, strengthening the guidance team, replenishing the guidance way, insisting on combination of career guidance and other six elements, and perfecting performance evaluation system.
