| Cultivating the students’ ability of self-management is one of the most important parts in moral education of middle school. It’s the requirement for schools to cultivate talents in today’s society and times. This ability is also the needs of students’ self-development. It’s harder and more meaningful and significant for the junior middle school students because they are experiencing a great physical and mental change of puberty. Private boarding middle school has its own particularity, and the cultivation of students’ self-management also faces more challenges. Guangzhou Panyu Zhixin Middle School is a typical private boarding school. This thesis takes it as an example to do a research on the topic. According to the activities of moral education about cultivating the students’ ability of self-management in school, I use different kinds of methods to finish it, such as literature research, questionnaire investigation, case analysis and so on. To aim to explore the internal mechanism and external need of cultivating the students’ ability of self-management, I applied theory to practice, and combined with personal practice experience for research. At the same time, I also put forward some suggestions and measures on how to improve the activities of moral education, and it plays a certain role in cultivating and improving the students’ own ability of self-management in private boarding school.This study shows the following aspects:(1)Defining the concept of self-management ability, analysis the connotation of it, and it uses the three dimensions as the research main line---students’ self-design, self-regulation, and self-assessment.(2)It analyzes the characteristics of Guangzhou Panyu Zhixin Middle School, and reflects the school’s particularity, representative and typicality from the nature of school, school students, management mode, and school scale. According to the particularity of private boarding school in new times, it takes these three dimensions as the breakthrough point---students’ self-design, self-regulation and self-assessment, to analysis the reasons why the middle school students face the new challenges in self-management through the investigation. It demonstrates the importance of the research which focuses on cultivating the students’ability of self-management. On the basis of analyzing the current problems, it points out the missing aspect on cultivating the students’ability of self-management. It also analyzes the causes of these problems from ideas, educational wisdom, and external conditions.(3)In the face of the particularity of private boarding school of new times, it proposes some measures of education through the investigation and personal practice experiences. These measures are based on the three dimensions---self-design, self-regulation, and self-assessment. In these measures, it points out that we should change and improve the cognition of private boarding school and the students in new times. The measures should meet the actual in order to improve the consciousness, scientificalness and effectiveness of the practical activities in moral education. |
