The aim of English teaching is to improve students’ language ability and the ability of oral communication. It is also the key point of the listening teaching, but there are still some problems about the English Listening Teaching at present. From this point of view, this paper tries to find the problems of solving strategy on the base of the communicative teaching method. Because the input is as important as output. So listening learners require not only the passive absorption, but the active participation. Listening teaching is the most fundamental and crucial linkage in foreign language teaching. The task of listening teaching is to develop students’ communicative competence, which is also the CLT efficiency. Combining the communicative language teaching characteristic with the influential factor of listening teaching, this paper discusses the application of communicative teaching method in the teaching of English listening.The purpose of this paper is to discover the application value of the Communicative Language Teaching under the new curriculum in the teaching of listening, to improve the students’ listening competence and to cultivate the students’English communicative ability and comprehensive level. This paper studies the literature references of the listening teaching method and expounds the core contents of it. It introduces some relative researches discussed between some foreign experts and domestic scholars on communicative approach. It also describes the relative theory of communicative teaching approach and the communicative approach. According to the idea of language teaching made by relative department, the reform of curriculum teaching and the situation of listening teaching. This paper investigates and analyzes the current situation of senior high school students’listening ability. Through various investigating and interviewing results, it reflects students’ listening comprehension problems on each aspects, then clearly make out the current situation of students’ listening ability and find out the problems of students’ listening ability. This paper makes the relative communicative teaching method and takes some students for experiments. Finally, the experiment turns out the necessity and feasibility of the application of communicative teaching method in the teaching of listening. It analyzes the characteristics of listening in real life, features of communicative teaching method in listening and the strategies to develop students’ listening skills. This paper finally guides students to self-training in listening skills.The results of research shows that, the combination of the theory(CLT) and actual factors, design the listening exercises, so that the students can get plenty of cxercisc,it can achieve a good results in the classroom teaching, and make the students pay attention to communicative competence training in listening class.
