The dissertation is grounded on the reality of moral education in junior high school and the need of school-based social worker in China, the data of school-based social work from China ainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and foreign countries. It explained the concepts and theories concerned and the relation between moral education in junior high school and school-based social work. Through the case study in Song Yuan middle school, Zhong Shan, Guangdong province, we got to know the establishment, process and improvement of social work, the role in the process of junior high school moral education, the problems of it and reasons behind it and the conflicts between school-based social worker and moral educators. As a new power, its intervention in junior high school moral education can help solve the problems teenagers may confront when they are growing up, cater for the diversity of need of educating students, fill the academic gap, improve the utility of moral education in junior high school and benefit its development.The research sticks to the principles, standpoint and methods of dialectical materialism and historical materialism and adopts the approaches of literature and case study.The practice is a synthetic study of social work and junior high school moral education, therefore is a new field, which can offer significant suggestions to similar study in the future.
