A school is a small society.It has its own work distribution, its unique quality and its special characteristics comparing with other social units. With the advancement of time, school gradually becomes a culture, that is, campus culture. A campus culture wall, reflects the brilliant history, writes down the glorious tradition and embodies the campus culture mood of the school. Though, campus culture wall is one of factors of campus culture, its richful expressing forms and unique fanction push forward the development of the campus culture, construction and education of the school. If the campus culture wall is designed uniquely and riching in intention, it will be great benefit to form the advanced and unique campus culture, and further to better the up-spirit of the teachers and pupils of the whole school. Especially the primary school campus culture is just like this.Primary school campus culture wall, which is quite different from those of middle schools, colleges or universities, has its own conotation, that is, takes the wall as its tool to embody the unique characteristics and educational notion created by the whole teachers and pupils. From the characteristics, it has six points:Uniqueness, spread, variousness, fullness, dynamicness and artistry. From the sxpressing form, content, objector, space position, and material quality. It can still be divided into mary kinds. Primary school campus culture wall provides vividly a real situation for the pupils to taste, give a forceful power to them in a direct or indirect way, and let them talk with it repeadedly without their knowing. In this process, it will purify the pupils’souls, form their good habit, enlight their desiration for knowledge and make them have a good social value point. At the same time, the pupils would be immersed in it, and silently are educated by the morals, intellectual development, aesthetic and mind education.Therefore, I have investigated seven primary schools in changsha city, and gathered the related materials. Furthermore, I study them carefully in order to fully describe the conotation, characteristics, classification and function of this silent education in a way of combining theory with practice into one, point out the sucessful and unsuccessful experience, weakness and wy own suggestions and opinons, recomend some typical examples and cases in order to show it direct or indirect educational function, and emphasize that, besides the teaching, management, service with the fuction of education, the surrounding or environment of the school can also have the fuction of education.
