The teaching of reading and writing abilities is currently the key part of Chinese teaching in senior high school. Reading and writing abilities both imply students’ literary accomplishment. However, traditional teaching mode and exam oriented education has made teaching Chinese become more and more challenging. Long-term receptive learning and standardized training questions obliterate the students’interest in learning Chinese, even holds back the development of the students’language ability.Curriculum reforming calls for the innovation of teaching basic subjects. And the integration of film art and language discipline provides a unique way of teaching. Since film resource has been introduced into Chinese teaching for a long time, teachers can always get more inspiration and ideas from movies."The new curriculum standard of Chinese in senior high school" indicates that, high school Chinese teaching shall explore and develop new ways of learning, based on the innovation of thoughts and expressions. This paper is to improve the high school language reading and writing teaching quality with film art resources, by a more effective teaching process, to improve students’ thinking and learning habits. However, in current teaching, the cognition and application of film resources is still in the perceptual stage, lacking in the interconnection and patterns between Chinese discipline and film art. The essential elements of film art are not genuinely combined with Chinese discipline.Based on the above issues, this paper studies new ways to improve high school students’ reading and writing abilities with the use of film art. In another word, by extracting appropriate art form or vivid content from movie work into class, teachers will manage to avoid those low-efficiency repetitive explaining, and therefore improve teaching proficiency.Through large amounts of practice research, the ultimate goal is to optimize students’ learning habits of reading and writing, and to develop an effective policy of improving Chinese teaching quality with the method of film art, which combines both film art and Chinese teaching under the guidance of activating multiple intelligences. While combining Chinese teaching with film art, it not only improves the understanding process of studying contents, but also perfects the targets of teaching literary knowledge and abilities. And through the integration of Chinese discipline and film art, it not only enriches the teaching resources in class, but also makes Chinese teaching much more vivid. Therefore, this paper first analyzes the literature review and background, makes an objective evaluation of the integration of film resources and Chinese teaching, and points out the researching area and innovative thoughts. And the research will be explained in four aspects, such as the new requirement of curriculum, and"General Chinese", etc. Then the feasibility of the research will be examined by the theory of constructivism and the theory of multiple intelligences. After defining the film art in this study, the features of understanding movie works will be discussed, and the teaching value of film art will be evaluated. And by realizing the difficulties in Chinese teaching and in the integration of film art and teaching, the next step is to work out the connections between film art and the teaching of reading and writing abilities in senior high school. Finally, it concludes the teaching mode and strategy of reading and writing abilities with the use of film art, and practice from four strategies, such as questioning, understanding, integration and evaluation, which proves that the study is scientific and validity in both theory and practice.
