Ideological and political education is a kind of purposeful, planned,organized education which is conducted according to certainrequirements fulfilling socially desirable educational goals. Theinteraction of all parties involved plays a very important role ofcommunication in the process of ideological and political education ofcollege students. The education can be carried out effectively through thestudent-teacher communication. In the new period when scientific andhuman-oriented development is stressed, I hold that the success or failureof political and ideological education depends heavily on theeffectiveness of the education and mutual communication. The projectwill be a great boost to the mobilization of students’ creativity andeconomic development when the ideology of college students are on aconstant change with a increasingly big influence from the marketeconomy.This thesis is to start from the theory of communication, employingthe related theories on concepts, elements and function of the ideologicaland political education. In this process, questionnaires, statistics will beused to track down the causes of barriers encountered by ethnic minoritystudents. And finally some countermeasures will be proposed to solve theproblems.The paper falls into4parts:Firstly: by drawing from the work done by some previousresearchers, the core issues of this thesis is put forward and at the sametime some concepts are redefined.Secondly, a analysis of current situation of ideological and politicaleducation among ethnic minority students in xinjiang. A survey is to bedone in order to find out the specifics of these students and the ways tomake some effective communication. Thirdly, an analysis of the barriers to the effective communicationbetween the educators and these special students. This is the key part ofthe thesis. The barriers will be analyzed from the prospective of subjectof education, the object of education and ways to conduct the education.Fourthly, The author plans to nail down the causes of the poor waysin carrying out ideological and political education in xinjiang beforeputting forward some measures to improve the ideological and politicaleducation aiming at ethnic minority students in. This is the most difficultpart and the ultimate goal of the thesis.
