Normal school students fostered by normal universities are the main force and new force of the new basic education curriculum reform when they participate in the work. The new round of basic education requirements reform asked teacher must have solid subject knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, knowledge of psychology, but also have a wide range of knowledge, profound cultural conservation, the higher humanistic accomplishment, as well as a correct outlook on life, values, world view. The "Required Readings for Undergraduates" as the production of the colleges’carrying out a comprehensive quality education, can be a useful complement to the normal universities cultivation pattern for the lack of the overall quality of the normal students. However reality shows that the "Required Readings for Undergraduates" did not progress with the times since the emergence of progress,lack of sufficient attention and reform so that the courses become as tasteless, can not play its due role. If we want to reform the "Required Readings for Undergraduates", crucial step is to expand its scientific evaluation. This paper use the literature to research on the background of quality education as well as a new round of reform of basic education. I deeply understand:the "Required Readings for Undergraduates" not only conforms to the concept of quality education talent training, but also in line with the requirements of the new curriculum on teachers, plays an irreplaceable role in the normal curriculum. The study mainly use the methods which evaluation side as the main evaluation to evaluate the "Required Readings for Undergraduates", through document analysis and interviews to analyze the factors affect the "Required Readings for Undergraduates" implementation. At first we should determine the evaluation content:purpose of the "Required Readings for Undergraduates", bibliographic type and quantity, implementation process, appraisal system, the instructor, school students, reading environment, reading results etc. Then combined training objectives of the "Required Readings for Undergraduates" to determine the evaluation index, design evaluation of observation points, use subjective assignment method to respectively conferred corresponding weights for each evaluation index. To establish a set of evaluation index system for the "Required Readings for Undergraduates". Thirdly expand evaluation in Shaanxi normal university physics major with the established evaluation index system, to find out the advantages and disadvantages of the "Required Readings for Undergraduates" in the implementation process, found:the purpose of the "Required Readings for Undergraduates" is scientific and rational, however, it’s difficult to stimulate students’interest in reading because lack of timeliness and relevance in bibliographic, lack of effective guidance and supervision in implementation process, assessment system can not effectively visually expose problems, lack of instructor, students is not profound understanding of the course, reading environment is not conducive to courses detection, the effect is not obvious. At last, we give advice to improve the implementation process of the "Required Readings for Undergraduates": establish a scientific evaluation system for physics teacher students "must read", select the appropriate physical normal school students "must read", implement the instructors system, improve the examination system, library involved in the management of the "Required Readings for Undergraduates". Through this study I would like to draw attention to the majority of teaching workers for the "Required Readings for Undergraduates" as a practicality compulsory, and there can be more researchers to participate in the reform of the "Required Readings for Undergraduates".The paper is divided into six parts, the first part is study of the background of this research, give the significance to evaluate the "Required Readings for Undergraduates", combined with existing research in related fields, to briefly introduce the ideas and methods of the study. The second part is the analysis of related concepts, intended to clarify the main factors to impact physics normal school students "required reading" implementation. The third part is the evaluation methods used in this study, analyze the research process in a theoretical point of view. The fourth section describes the "Required Readings for Undergraduates" evaluation index system. The fifth part is the practice of the operational phase of the study, carrying out evaluation studies in Shaanxi normal university physics major, found insufficient, and put forward corresponding countermeasures. Part six is the outlook of the study.
