Teaching evaluation system, as an important method and meansof teachers’ teaching and students’ learning, plays an important role in today’seducation reform. Scientific and objective evaluation of teaching can promote teachers’teaching quality and improve students’ academic achievement. With the developmentof society, the demand for talents changes a lot, however the evaluation mechanism hasnot been updated timely. If we use the previous method of teaching evaluation, thetrained talents can’t adapt to the need of the society. This problem also appears in thecollege physical education. Ministry of Education changes the undergraduate courseoutlines of physical education, which calls the track and field sports as track and fieldcourses. Curriculum of track and field increases cross-country running, orienteering,and field survival. The increasing of the curriculum leads to the change of each part’sratio, so does evaluation methods.This paper will build on a new teaching evaluation system of the track and fieldcourse in colleges and universities in Sichuan province. The author constructs theprocess from simple to complex steps for implementation of the teaching evaluationsystem. First of all, the author will choose a few representative schools from ordinaryuniversity sports education in Sichuan Province which has opened the course of trackand field. Through research on the evaluation of physical education, evaluation methodand evaluation system of the status quo from Sichuan Province ordinary universities,this thesis analyzes and summarizes physical education teaching evaluation systemproblems of the track and field course in colleges and universities in Sichuan Province.Second, according to the survey’s results of teaching evaluation, combined with obtained information, the author has designed “A questionnaire of college physicaleducation teaching evaluation system of Sichuan Province Athletics Course". Thisthesis puts up a new index by using Delphi Method and two rounds of questionnairesurvey to determine the new "system" of the track and field courses in physicaleducation. In the end, the paper evaluation method can improve students’ practicalability.Through the research of this article, we may draw a conclusion that in Sichuanprovince university sports education professional track and field general course existscertain disparity between the project and the new curriculum scheme; Sichuanprovince ordinary university sports education professional track and field teachingbegins to be seriously emphasized in the common course evaluation status according tothe students’ practical ability, but the proportion of evaluation indexes is still low.Sichuan province sports education professional track and field teaching evaluationsystem puts the secondary indicators as: theoretical knowledge, sports skills, practicalability and daily performance. To make the athletics cultivated in the common coursefor the students who can be competent as primary or secondary school teachers, wemust attach importance to the cultivation of the students’ practical ability.
